M.Tech. in VLSI Design
Course Overview
Very Large Scale Integrated (VLSI) Circuit Design is the process of designing a large computer chip (more specifically, an integrated circuit, or IC), using computer-aided design (CAD) tools on a workstation or a personal computer (PC). The course demands learning the principles of VLSI design, designing and fabricating the state of-the-art VLSI chips, understanding the complete design flow and expertise to design CMOS chips for industrial requirements.
At GNOT, Students are exposed to various design software in this programme. They also learn to design, simulate, implement and test complex digital systems using FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).

Admission Process
The admission to B.Tech Computer Science program is based on entrance exam scores followed by counseling. Here's the step-by-step process:
Check Eligibility
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with minimum 60% marks.
Appear for Entrance Exam
Appear for BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) or JEE Main. The college accepts scores from both examinations.
Online Application
Fill the online application form on the college website during the application window (typically May-June).
Counseling Process
Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling based on their entrance exam rank. Document verification and seat allotment happens during counseling.
Fee Payment & Enrollment
Selected candidates need to pay the admission fee and complete the enrollment process to confirm their seat.
Career Opportunities
After M.Tech in VLSI Design, graduates can build high-growth careers in the semiconductor and chip design industry. Job roles include VLSI Design Engineer, ASIC/FPGA Engineer, Physical Design Engineer, Verification Engineer, SoC Engineer, and Embedded Hardware Engineer in companies like Intel, Qualcomm, AMD, Samsung, MediaTek, and NVIDIA, as well as in research organizations and academia, with excellent salary packages and global opportunities.
