The School of Applied Sciences SGVU is a leading institution of higher learning with a strong tradition of research since its inception and situated in the culturally rich and exotic city of Jaipur. Master of Science program is offered with the specialization in core science (physics and chemistry), Virology, Biotechnology and Microbiology.
- Biotechnology being the applied biology sector in Make in India, Govt of India initiative is a major accelerating sector in the field of applied biology. Comprehensive and industry-inspired course that deal with making students industry and research-ready in every aspect.
- Microbiology is primarily composed of different medical outlooks of virology, bacteriology, immunology, and infections, etc. Being research driven courses, it is expected to accelerate our past year scattered research and is dedicated to high quality research.
- Virology & Immunology concentrates the scholar’s study on a detailed description of viruses that include their evolution, classification and their detailed structure and their mechanism of action through which they infect and manipulate living cells for their indifferent reproduction strategies. This also consists of the study of different viral diseases and fundamentally essential techniques that are employed to isolate and culture viruses for their use in research and therapeutic uses.
- Studies on chemical sciences covers all aspects of the different branches of chemistry and lays emphasis on detailed understanding of the fundamental principles and on training in appropriate computational and experimental methods. The minimum duration is 2 years. Chemical science provides an understanding of the physical and chemical properties of atoms molecules and a practical method of creating chemical structures. Usage of the knowledge for solving complex problems in various fields such as Pharmaceutical, biochemical and petrochemicals.
- The main goals of Physics are to gain a deep understanding of the universe at its most fundamental levels and to extend such knowledge to more complicated systems ranging from the subatomic to the cosmological scale. Physics can then be considered the basis for all natural sciences and the bearing structure of any modern technological development.

Admission Process
The admission to B.Tech Computer Science program is based on entrance exam scores followed by counseling. Here's the step-by-step process:
Check Eligibility
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with minimum 60% marks.
Appear for Entrance Exam
Appear for BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) or JEE Main. The college accepts scores from both examinations.
Online Application
Fill the online application form on the college website during the application window (typically May-June).
Counseling Process
Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling based on their entrance exam rank. Document verification and seat allotment happens during counseling.
